Smart Pet Tag & Digital Pet Profile

Firu is a smart pet tag system designed to help pet owners easily reunite with their lost pets. Each tag contains a unique QR code that, when scanned, provides the finder with essential information about the pet and its owner.

How it works?

1. Pet owners purchase a QR code-enabled tag and attach it to their pet’s collar.

2. The QR code is scanned, allowing the owner to set up a digital profile for their pet (including name, address, age, medical history, etc.).

3. In the event of a lost pet, the tag acts as a digital ID, providing the finder with the pet’s profile and contact information.


Lost mode

If the owner enables this feature, they receive a notification with the location of the pet when someone scans the tag.

Custom message

Owners can leave a personalized message for anyone who finds their pet.

Contact information

The person who finds the pet can instantly access the owner’s contact details for a faster reunion.

My Role

This was a solo side project where I took full ownership of the entire product lifecycle, from design to development. I was responsible for:

Wireframing and Prototyping: Designed the user flow, wireframes, and interactive prototypes using Figma.

Front-end Development: Built the web application using React and Vite to ensure a smooth, responsive user interface.

Back-end Development: Implemented the backend with Firebase, leveraging its real-time database and authentication features.

Deployment: Published the web app using Netlify for a seamless and scalable deployment.
